I feel I need to explain the name of my blog since I've changed it. The term "Warrior Bride" came from a women's conference I attended last September. I got an understanding that not only are we the Bride Of Christ dressed in a beautiful white gown waiting for our Bridegroom's return; but we are to fight to remain His bride. I saw a drama presentation that gave me a clear picture of how I should fight. It's not a physical fight as the scripture tells us the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds. (2 Corinthians 10:4) This depiction was of a Bride caring a sword, as she is bombarded by imaginations she seemed overwhelmed until the pertinent scripture comes to mind and she speaks it out loud and bringing the thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5) I left that conference with a picture I've never seen before. Later that week after the conference I email a pastor trying to make contact with his wife and his response floored me when he addressed me as Warrior Bride indicating that his wife had brought him up ti speed regarding the conference. Prior to that email I was not thinking of using the phrase, but I've come to realize who I really am in Christ. It's a fight to maintain our status as the Bride Of Christ. Everyday we are bombarded by the enemy trying to get us to disqualify ourselves and if we don't know who we really are and the weapons we posses we will throw in the towel and give up our status. It's so important to see and hear the word in this way because it that brings such clarity. It is also important to get together and encourage each other. Paul says when we encourage one another it helps us to grow in our faith and matures us to fruitfulness as well. We also know that we are not fighting on our own because Jesus sent the Holy Spirit as our helper. I hope I was able to give you enough of an understanding of the Warrior Bride. In 2010 let's go forth wielding the sword, spiritually speaking; destroying peoples arguments and every proud thing that rises itself against the knowledge of God; Capturing every thought and make it give up and obey Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)NCV
Warrior Bride.
